Project Overview

Key Features
- →Shopping List Redesign — Streamlined list management with smart categorization, item suggestions, and cross-device sync for seamless shopping planning.
- →Scan & Go — Self-checkout experience allowing customers to scan items while shopping and skip traditional checkout lines.
- →Product Discovery — Enhanced search and browse functionality with rich product detail pages, ratings, and personalized recommendations.
- →Meal Planning — Recipe integration with automatic ingredient list generation and nutritional information.
Design Approach
Managed a 50-day sprint across design, engineering, and product teams to ship a complete redesign of the shopping list and scan-and-go experiences. Prioritized speed-to-shelf: how fast can a shopper find their items, check off their list, and get through self-checkout without waiting in line? Every interaction was tested against real grocery-run scenarios, not lab conditions.

Outcome
The redesigned Wegmans mobile app successfully launched across both iOS and Android platforms, meeting the aggressive 50-day timeline while maintaining quality and usability standards. Post-launch, the app continued to receive regular feature updates based on user feedback and evolving business needs. The shopping list and scan-and-go features became core differentiators for Wegmans' mobile experience, supporting millions of grocery shoppers with tools that balanced efficiency and product discovery.
